Last month as the world was slowly coming to a halt, Jarrod and I took a weekend away to visit family in Florida. Each morning we took full advantage of the limited time we had alone, making our way to the beach before sunrise. Enjoying the orange and purple colors in front of us while the waves crashed, I realized this was the best show in town. Not only is it free of charge, it takes place every single day and each sunrise is uniquely beautiful.
It was fun to watch all the cars pull onto the beach, with the same thought in mind, to catch the show. It became very clear that this a time of reflection, gratitude and pure joy for anyone present.
I made a promise as I left Florida to find the show here, right at home. The show here looks a little different; it is a lot of tall trees, green grass and birds chirping. Nature at its purest is truly a gift from God.
Don’t forget to enjoy the simplest of nature and the daily course of activity. It might be a sign that – despite all this chaos – life will go on and we will manage.
