Privileged

It is easy in today’s world to look at everything that is causing stress – working from home, the rare occasion of alone time, limited exposure to seeing friends, or engaging in all those recreational activities we love, the list goes on.

I am choosing each day to wake up and feel privileged despite what feels off-balanced.

I am privileged that my girls have their own computers and we don’t have to share computer time to complete schoolwork.

I am privileged that we can linger after dinner for a fun family conversation.

I am privileged that we have bookcases filled with books to read.

I am privileged that we have access to an abundance of media choices each night while unwinding.

I am privileged that we have a backyard where we can relax.

I am privileged that my family has not been financially impacted by recent events.

Funnier how lighter I feel when I change the script, instead of dwelling on “what I can’t do” or “what is not the norm,” I am focusing on my blessings, my privilege.

Have you made your privileged list?
