Love Story

Recently I was visiting Salt Lake City and at every turn, we saw many billboards with a pretty older woman named Julia Reagan, and a message saying “We will miss you.” It was so sweet to see and the fact we saw them on almost every other turn, led us to research who Julia was. The news article we found called the billboards, “One last love note,” as Julia had passed away. The article went on to share she was the loving wife, for 58 years, to the owner of Reagan Outdoor Advertising. Bill, owner, and husband, put up 60 Julia billboards in Utah and another 300, across the nation. You can search for Julia Reagan, if you are interested in reading the full love story. While I read the article to the car load of girls, let’s just say, that some shed tears.

It got me thinking about relationships; my grandparents, my parents, my aunt and uncles, my friends, even mine and what we all have in common is the choice to feel love, give love, and appreciate how lucky we are for the love. Knowing that, the little moments should be cherished and the little annoying things should be let go. If we all just remember how lucky we are to love, we can create the love story we want.

(Not often am I gushy, enjoy it!)
