Just Because

I was rushing from meeting to meeting and caught a glimpse of a friend. She clearly saw me before I saw her. We said nothing, but my eyes must have said it all. When I got back to my desk, the following email titled Just because was waiting for me. Within the email was an attachment to a saying she has on her desk. As I was reading it, I had an overwhelming feeling of gratitude to have someone who cares enough for me, and is able to read my emotions knowing exactly what I needed in that moment……

Persistent is my game

No pressure, no diamond

I embrace change

A motto, a mantra, a prayer to self, a motivational reminder, whatever it is, it was perfect then and each moment I refer back to that email.

It is the little things. We are in this together, wanting to do our best, succeed, and sometimes a little push or a reminder from a dear friend is all we need to remind us.
