You might have read last week and shook your head. How in the world do I expect anyone to not get emotional when the country is literally on fire? What I am saying is to try and have acceptance of different views and refrain from the banter of negative talk about either party. Don’t get wrapped up in the argument.
What if it was not politics but religion we were talking about? I live in a home where my husband supports a Christian family structure but appreciates the Buddha and the peaceful way of life of a Buddhist, so in my house you will find various Buddha’s throughout. My dad and sisters are Jewish, so when we were growing up, we celebrated all holidays of both religions and still do. The whole family has acceptance of our differences and we all respect each other’s view, whether it is our path or not.
The truth is it is all founded in love and accepting others out of love. If we focus on love and appreciation, we can appreciate different views, beliefs and cultures. Now I know your shaking your head and saying politics is not founded in love, so I don’t get your point.
The point is everyone has their own path in life, views and beliefs, and we should respect that and show grace if we choose to discuss the difference, not create unnecessary rubbish with those in our life.
