So, although it may feel like last winter when the world was shutting down, and you are probably saying, “Here we go again,” I want you to pause and realize, it is not the same. We all learned so much about ourselves and what type of self-care we need to manage through a quarantine time.
-Cooking can be fun if you change it up
-Finding another family to quarantine with allows something to look forward to each weekend
-Catching up on those movies you never had time to watch
-Finally reading the books on your shelves
-Connecting to extended family via Zoom spices up the day
The list goes on…. only this time, it is the holiday season!! So much fun naturally comes for many during the holiday season. This year, knowing you can’t be out socializing, look to bring back joy from a simpler time.
-Watch those holiday classic movies and cartoons that are on all season long
-Bake those cookies shaped like Santa hats
-Drive around listening to holiday music and enjoy all the lights……. or silly blow-ups
-Find the perfect gift and mail it to your family or friends
-Go caroling via your phone……
Don’t allow what you can’t do to bring down your cheer or spirit- Invest in what you can do and make it a holiday season to remember!
